Bauer & Bentz finish Top 10 at Cardinal Invite

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Men's Cross Country team hosted their annual Cardinal Invite on Friday, September 15. The team hosted Adrian College and Lourdes University for a three-team battle. The course proved to be a true challenge. The Cardinals fought hard to finish third with a total of 52 points, finishing just 8 points behind Lourdes.

The team was led by Micah Bauer (Freshman; Traverse City, MI) who hit a National Christian College Athletic Association qualifying mark by finishing in a time of 27:49. The second Cardinal to finish was Luke Bentz (Junior; Fort Wayne, IN) with a personal best time of 29:11. Third to finish was Nathan Milliman (Freshman; Ann Arbor, MI) who made his collegiate debut at the 8k distance with a time of 29:51. The rest of the score was made up by returners Theodore Eising (Senior; Royal Oak, MI) with a time of 29:58 and Adam Fisch (Sophomore; Caro, MI) finishing in 31:09.

The Cardinals also had Dominic Catallo (Freshman) make his 8k debut and finished sixth on the team with a time of 32:00. Avery Sanchez (Graduate Senior; Allen Park, MI) was able to compete for the first time and finished in a time of 32:36. The day was wrapped up by Jared Stiver ( Senior) who ran his personal best of 37:20.

The team will be back in action next Friday, September 22 at Grand Woods Park for the Lansing Invitational hosted by Lansing Community College. The start time for the Men is scheduled for 1:15.
