(Grand Rapids, MI) The Men's Cross Country team traveled to Grand Rapids for the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge hosted by Aquinas College. The team took on a rainy, muddy course at Riverside Park. The team powered through to finish with 370 points and a 14-place finish.

The team was led by Micah Bauer (Freshman; Traverse City, MI) with a top 5 overall finish in a time of 26:34. He was followed by Luke Bentz ( Junior; Fort Wayne, IN) who finished in a time of 29:03. The Cardinals had two runners finish together, as Theodore Eising (Senior; Royal Oak, MI) and Nathan Milliman (Freshman; Ann Arbor, MI) finished in times of 29:13  and 29:14 respectively.

Avery Sanchez rounded out team scoring by finishing just 10 seconds off his personal record with a time of 30:19. Dominic Catallo (Freshman; Westland, MI) was the next Cardinal to finish in a time of 32:23. Jared Stiver (Senior; Tecumseh, MI) continued his excellent senior year by running another personal record time of 35:04.

"It was a little bit of a rough day, but we had 3 guys less than 15 seconds off a personal record, which is always one of our goals. So even through bad conditions, we still showed decent results," said Head Coach Dominic Santina.

The team will be back in action on Friday, November 3 at the WHAC Championships hosted by Aquinas at Riverside Park.
