(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced their Cross Country Runners of the Week and Concordia Cardinals freshman runner, Micah Bauer took home the first honors of his young Cardinal career. 

Bauer, a freshman from Traverse City, Michigan, helped the Cardinals qualify for the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) National Championships for the first time in 22 years. Bauer finished in 16th place at the Lansing Cross Country Invitational as he ran a time of 26:16.7. The time is also the fourth-fastest in Cardinal's program history. 

Bauer and the Cardinals will be back in action when they travel to Bethel University on Friday, October 6.
