Women's Lacrosse downed at #7 Missouri Baptist

(St. Louis, MO) Concordia Women's Lacrosse travelled down south for a matchup against 7th ranked Missouri Baptist. The Spartans got an early lead in the first quarter, and held on to it for the remainder of the game, ultimately winning 15-6.

 

Michaela Ullery started in goal for the Cardinals, recording 9 saves on the day. The game was scoreless for the first 10 minutes until the Spartans rattled off 5 goals in the final minutes of the first quarter.

 

Madisyn Fox netted a hat trick in the second quarter to bring the Cardinals back into contention. Missouri Baptist put three goals of their own into the net, preserving their five-goal lead at halftime.

 

The Cardinals outscored the Spartans in the third quarter, with Isabella Komarowski scoring a pair and Madeline Turcotte scoring in the final minutes. Missouri Baptist sealed the game in the fourth quarter, scoring five unanswered goals, three of them up a player.

 

Concordia will have another top-10 opponent on the road when they play at #8 Marian on Monday, March 11th.
