Women's Soccer falls 4-0 at Bethel

(Mishawaka, IN) – Concordia women's soccer continued their season with a road contest at Bethel on Wednesday evening. The Cardinals continued to fight throughout the game, but Bethel took the 4-0 win on the day.

 

Hayley Jacobson played a complete game in goal, recording 10 saves. Bethel went on the attack early in the game with 2 goals in the first 17 minutes. The Cardinals kept battling when Katelyn Aiello took two shots that were just wide and high of the net. After Kiera Savage drew a free kick opportunity, Isabel Stropich blasted a shot just to the left of the goal late in the half. CUAA trailed 2-0 at halftime.

Bethel added 2 more goals early in the second half. Hazel Wright and Isabel Stropich took shots on goal as the Cardinals aimed to break the shutout. Isabella Elsey had a shot in the last minute of play, but Bethel hung on to win 4-0.

 

Concordia will return home to open WHAC play against Aquinas this Saturday, September 24 at 1pm.
