Women's Soccer downed at UNOH

(Lima, OH) – Concordia women's soccer traveled to UNOH as the team continued their push to make the WHAC conference tournament. The Cardinals found themselves up against a strong opponent, falling 5-0 in the contest.

 

Hayley Jacobson played a complete game, recording 8 saves. Katelyn Aiello took an early shot for the Cardinals that sailed high of the goal. UNOH struck first in the 14th minute to break the stalemate. Hayley Jacobson continued to make more saves, but the Racers scored again and led 2-0 at halftime.

UNOH tacked on three more goals in the second half. Concordia continued to battle throughout the half, trying to work the ball towards the Racers' zone. Samantha Putman took a free kick in the final minutes of the game which deflected its way towards the goal, but UNOH claimed the 5-0 win as time expired.

 

Concordia remains alive in the WHAC playoff picture and will face Cornerstone in a critical game this Saturday at 1pm.
