Concordia falls to the Crusaders on the road

(Livonia, MI) - Concordia women's soccer traveled to Madonna this afternoon for a WHAC contest.  The Cardinals played hard but fell 5-0 to the Crusaders who are in the top half of the current WHAC standings.

The game was close after the first 45 minutes of play, with Madonna only finding the back of the net once off the foot of Caroline Kopp. Hayley Jacobson was impressive in the net once again compiling eleven saves in the half to go towards her seventeen total on the day.

The Cardinal defense held tough all game, but the Madonna offense proved to be strong in the second half. They found the back of the net four more times, bringing their total on the day to five.

Despite the loss, Hayley Jacobson finds herself as the national NAIA saves leader with 120 saves through seven games played.

The Cardinals will be back in action at home against Defiance on Wednesday, October 9th, at 3:30pm!
