(Ann Arbor, MI) - The College Sport Communicators (CSC) released their 2024 Academic All-District winners on Tuesday afternoon and Concordia's Nicole Koops was honored as she was named to the Women's Soccer All-District Team.
Nicole Koops is senior from Sioux Center, Iowa, and has a cumulative GPA of 3.95 while studying Social Work and Psychology.
The 2024 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
College Sport Communicators is a 3,200+ member national association for strategic, creative, and digital communicators across intercollegiate athletics in the United States and Canada. The organization was previously known as College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and was changed to its new name in August of 2022.
Nominees for the All-District team must have participated in at least 90% of the team's matches or have started 66% of team games throughout the season while also maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50. The student-athlete must also reach sophomore athletic eligibility in order to qualify for the honor.
Koops will now be placed on the ballot for CSC All-America consideration with those teams being released on December 11, 2024.
