(Southfield, MI) The Concordia Women's Tennis team traveled to Lawrence Tech this weekend to take on the Blue Devils in search of their second win this season. The Cardinals put up a fight against the Blue Devils but ultimately fell 7-0.
In doubles play, Savannah Borrego and Jules Meads picked up 3 games against the Blue Devils top duo but fell 6-3. Makayla Steinmetz and Jacey Powell were swept, as well as Sarah Eggelmeyer and Sydney Orkisz in the second and third matches respectively.
In singles play, Jacey Powell stole a game in each of her two sets, while Savannah Borrego picked up a game in her second set. Jules Meads took a couple of games in her second set, while Makayla Steinmetz won a game in her first.
The Cardinals will take the home court twice this week as they take on Lourdes tomorrow, followed by a matchup against Indiana Tech on Tuesday at 4 PM.
