Men's Hockey taken down by Roosevelt, 5-1

(Bensenville, IL) Concordia Men's Hockey took to the ice for a second game against Roosevelt. The Cardinals defeated the Lakers Friday night, but came up short on Saturday, with a 5-1 loss.

 

 

Roosevelt scored three goals in the first period of the game to claim an early lead. They tacked on another two in the second period, with one of them being a power play goal.

 

It wasn't until the third period that Concordia was able to break the shutout with a power play goal from Zane Rydel, assisted by Nicholas Twombley and Brandon Troyer.

 

Anthony Seykora started the game in goal and racked up 10 saves in the first period. Zachary Janis took over between the pipes for the final two periods and tallied 25 saves.

 

 

Next up for the Cardinals will be a pair of home games against John Carroll and Grand Valley on December 2nd and 3rd respectively.
