Cheer takes second place at the IWU Invitational

 (Ann Arbor, MI) – The Cardinals continued their competitive season on Saturday at the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational. The field featured three talented teams with the Cardinals taking second place overall.  The Cardinals competed in the second round and recorded a score of 76.8. The overall total finished five points shy of Indiana Wesleyan who took first place. The host recorded a score of 81.43.

Head Coach Kate Edge was encouraged by the team's ability to fight through adversity. "This week we saw a lot of last minute changes due to an injury so we anticipated this competition would be challenging," said Edge. This team is determined to clean up and get their performance where they want it to be. We hit a lot of our marks for tosses and pyramids."

 

The Cardinals will participate in the Marian Invite next Saturday, January 30th in a virtual format. The Cardinals are scheduled to perform at 9:30pm from the Cardinal Field House.
