After the preliminary round of the NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championships, the Cardinals cheer team is in 8th place. The Cardinals posted a score of 82.88 in their first performance. The championship event saw twelve teams with participant with a talented and crowded field.
The Cardinals earned an automatic bid to the NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championship after taking first place at the WHAC Championships on Feb 21st. With COVID-19 cancelling the 2020 NAIA Cheer National Championship, the Cardinals are making their first appearance since taking first place in 2019.
The Cardinals performed eighth in the talented field performed a solid routine overall. 1.25 in deductions saw the Cardinals score fall a bit leaving the squad room for improvement in the found round tomorrow.
The preliminary round only counts towards 25% of the final score with 75% in the final round making up the majority of the overall total. The Cardinals will look to post a clean performance tomorrow when they take to the mat at approximately 2:20pm EST. The performance times are determined by the place of the preliminary scores.

(Davenport, IA) - The Concordia Cheer team will look to defend their NAIA Competitive Cheer National Championship in Davenport, Iowa, at the NAIA Cheer Championship on Friday and Saturday. Saint Ambrose University will serve as this year's host. The Cardinals are coming off their 3rd straight WHAC Championship that they won a week and a half ago at the Cardinal Fieldhouse.

Teams will compete for the NAIA Championship with each team performing two routines. The first routine will be the preliminary round which will count towards 25% of the overall score. The Final round score will make up 75% of the overall score.
