The Cardinals cheer team made their third appearance of the season participating in the Marian Knight Invitational on Saturday evening. The competition was hosted virtually by Marian University (Indianapolis, Ind.) and featured nine teams throughout the Midwest. Each team live streamed their performance from their own facilities while the judges watched from their own individual locations to record the scores and comments. The Cardinals recorded a final score of 78.80 to finish third overall.
The Cardinals raw and final score was the same this competition because deductions were not factored into the scoring due to a technical difficulty with one of the judges.
The judges scored the Cardinals consistently high in the areas of running tumbling difficulty, jumps difficulty, and choreography.
The Cardinals will look to fine tune their routine in the next week of practice as the next competition will not come until Feb 12th. The cheer team will host their second invite of the season while also honoring the seniors.
