WHAC names Bryce Schaner Offensive Player of the Week

(Ann Arbor, MI) The Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced their weekly player of the week recipients on Monday afternoon and Bryce Schaner was named the WHAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Schaner, a transfer from Oakland University, provided 5 points off of the bench for the Cardinals this week. Schaner's Cardinal career started with an assist to Nicholas Corona, finding his fellow sophomore with a well-placed cross in Concordia's win over Olivet. Against Alma in the midweek match, Schaner netted the Cardinals' first two goals within nearly four minutes of each other. The first came on an unassisted goal on the fast break with Alexander Valencia earning the assist on his second.

Schaner is the first Cardinal in the Men's Soccer program to be recognized by WHAC this season.

Concordia will be back in action on Wednesday, September 8 when they travel to Indiana Wesleyan.  Kickoff is set for 7pm.
