Men's Tennis concludes season at WHAC Tournament

(Lima, OH) Concordia Men's Tennis rounded out their season at the WHAC Tournament hosted by UNOH. As the #7 seed, the Cardinals squared off against the #2 Warriors from Indiana Tech. The Warriors would come out of the match victorious in the 4-0 match.

 

Indiana Tech won the doubles point, sweeping the doubles matches over Ethan Hiltz and Paul Vocu in #2 Doubles, and Andrew Todd and Gibson Wilke in #3 Doubles. The #1 Doubles Match did not finish due to time, but Ethan Szabados and Phillip Curry were down 1-3 when play was halted.

 

In singles action, the Warriors won three matches to secure the victory, while the other three matches did not finish. Paul Vocu was able to win a pair of games in his #1 Singles match before ultimately falling to his opponent. Phillip Curry was swept in his #2 Singles match as well as Ethan Hiltz in #3 Singles. Ethan Szabados, Andrew Todd, and Gibson Wilke were all without a game won in their singles matches when play was stopped.

 

CHAMPION OF CHARACTER

Ethan Hiltz was recognized as the team's WHAC Champion of Character. The sophomore was honored for his commitment to the five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.

 

ALL-ACADEMIC

The WHAC announced their All-Academic teams, which involve being a junior or above in academic standing and having a cumulative GPA of 3.25. Andrew Todd was named to the All-Academic team for Concordia.
