Richard Branch named NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced their Student-Athlete of the Week and Richard Branch was announced the winner for Men's Indoor Track and Field.

 

 

Richard Branch came in 8th place with a personal best of 13.21 meters in the shot put against NCAA DII opponents at Findlay's Oiler Open. His mark is currently 8th in the NAIA and 9th in the NCCAA. The Detroit native qualified for the NCCAA Indoor Championship in the shot put as well. Branch also went on to throw 11.88 meters in the weight throw.

 

Branch is the first Concordia Track and Field student-athlete to be honored by the NCCAA so far this season. 

 

 

The Cardinals will take a brief hiatus for winter break and will resume competition Friday, January 14, 2022 for the Dick Small Invitational hosted by Defiance College. Keep up with the Cardinals by following the team on social media (CUAAXCTF).
