VanHorn's 1st place finish leads Women's Bowling to 4th at Scotty Classic

(Jackson, MI) Concordia Women's Bowling was back in Jackson for some competition at the Scotty Classic this Saturday. Gabriella VanHorn finished 1st out of all bowlers in the women's division as the Cardinals finished 4th as a team with an overal total of 6275. 

 

VanHorn led the way with a program record individual total score of 841 across four games for a tournament best 210.25 average. Gabriella also finished three out of four games with over 200 pins recorded. 

 

Shannon Geiger came up big for the Cardinals herself, recording 745 pins across four games and finishing 15th in the tournament. Emilee Hughes finished with a 162.75 average during her four games to place 47th in the competition. 

 

Alyvia Hock finished 81st and Isabell Cooley 83rd with a combined score of 916 in 6 games. Amanda Fisher and Emily Morris also bowled one game each, scoring 167 and 144, respectively.

 

Madonna took first place in the team competition with a score of 6858. 

 

Concordia Bowling will be back in action next Saturday and Sunday when they head to the Hoosier Classic in Indianapolis, IN.
