Women's Bowling rounds out season at ISC and ITC Sectionals

(Smyrna, TN) The Concordia women's bowling team rounded out their season at the ISC and ITC Sectional qualifiers in Smyrna, Tennessee. The individual portion of the qualifier took place on Friday, with the team portion on Saturday and Sunday. Gabriella VanHorn led the Cardinals individually and the team finished 14th place on Sunday.

 

 

On Friday Gabriella VanHorn knocked down 1129 pins through five games to earn 34th place at the event. Her top score of the event was a 214 in game six.

 

Kara Ward finished with 1007 pins through six, followed by Emily Morris with 994 and Isabell Cooley with 963. Rounding out the Cardinals' efforts were Shannon GeigerArielle Oakley, Samantha DerbyAlyvia HockAmanda Fisher, and Emilee Hughes all ending the day with over 875 pins.

 

 

In the team qualifier, the Cardinals began their first 16 games with a score of 2769, putting them in 10th place. The Cards improved in their second block of 16 games to 2836 pins, but moved back into 12th place where they would stay after the third block as well. Concordia's 2775 in the fourth block of the day bumped them down to 14th place where they would finish with 11,081 total pins.

 

 

SCAD Savannah won the team portion of the qualifier and it was Mount St. Mary's Tamera Stanton who won the individual competition.
