Women's Bowling finishes regular season at Hoosier Classic

(Indianapolis, IN) The Women's Bowling team returned to the lanes on Saturday and Sunday for the Hoosier Classic. The competition featured 65 teams and 445 bowlers on the women's side. Concordia finished at 35th in the team standings and were led by Shannon Geiger individually.

 

Geiger bowled in all six games for the Cardinals while knocking down 199.2 pins per game, landing her in 23rd place. The sophomore also bowled the Cards' best game of the day with a 247 in game 4. Also bowling six games for Concordia was Gabriella VanHorn. VanHorn averaged 171.2 pins per game.

 

Emilee Hughes and Isabell Cooley both bowled five games for Concordia on the day averaging 179.8 and 169.8 pins per game respectively. Hughes had the Cardinals second highest score of the day with a 235 in game 1.

 

Amanda Fisher participated in four games rolling an average of 178.3 pins per game. Alyvia Hock bowled three games for Concordia with an average of 170. Emily Morris rounded out the Cardinals' efforts with a 136 in game 6.

 

Wichita State ended the baker portion of the day in the lead, but it was Baker University who ultimately won the tournament. Baker's Caitlin Lucas won the individual portion with an average of 217 pins throughout her six games.

 

The Cardinals will now enter post season play with the WHAC Tournament on Saturday. The event is being hosted by Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne.
