(Ann Arbor, MI) – The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced their weekly Players of the Week for Outdoor Track & Field and Concordia Cardinal's Lena Korte took home the honor for the fourth time this year, after having won three in the Indoor season.
Korte, a junior from Clinton, Michigan, earned a pair of wins in the Shot Put and Javelin at the CUAA Legacy Alumni Meet. Korte posted NCCAA qualifying marks in all three events as well. In the Shot Put, Korte earned first with a toss of 13.21 meters. She would follow that up with a toss of 35.15 meters in the Javelin to earn her second win. She rounded out the competition in the Hammer Throw, finishing fifth with a throw of 43.41 meters.
The team is back in action this week on Thursday and Friday, May 1 and 2 at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Championships at Indiana Tech.
