(Kansas City, MO) The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 16 team 2021 Football Championship Series field. The No. 5 Cardinals have been selected for the fourth consecutive year and will face 12th seeded Georgetown College on Saturday, April 17. The game will take place at Toyota Stadium in Georgetown, KY. 

 

The Cardinals secured an automatic bid after going 5-0 and being named the Mid-States Football Association Mideast League champion. This is the first time the Cardinals have finished the regular season undefeated. The Cardinals season was highlighted by wins over three ranked teams at the time of competition; (22) Siena Heights, (2) Marian, and (9) Saint Francis (Ind.). The Knights of Marian received an at-large bid as the 9th seed in the 16 team field. 

 

This will be the first meeting between the Cardinals and Tigers. The Tigers finished the regular season 6-1 and received an at-large bid as a member of the Mid-South Conference. The Tigers received the 12th seed in the 16 team field and are ranked 14th in the latest NAIA Coaches' top 25 poll that was released Sunday night
