(Ann Arbor, MI) For the second consecutive season the Cardinal football program has been recognized in two preseason publications ahead of the 2020 season. Concordia University will open its season on the 2020 Street & Smith's College Football Yearbook NAIA Preview Top 10. The Cardinals were ranked 8^th in the NAIA, with Senior offensive lineman Donovan Corlew earning preseason All-American honors. Concordia was also ranked 13^th in the 2020 College Football America Yearbook's NAIA Preseason Top 30. Both magazine publications are available for purchase at Barnes & Noble as well as Amazon.

Reaching the playoffs for a third straight appearance in 2019 has firmly put the Cardinals in the national spotlight. Concordia ended the season as the number 12 team in the nation according to postseason polls after falling to Grand View in the opening round of the playoffs.

Joining Concordia in the Street and Smith's Top 10 are fellow MSFA schools Marian University at 2^nd, Saint Xavier University at 6^th, and University of Saint Francis (IN) at 7^th. College Football America has Marian at 4^th, St. Xavier at 7^th, and St. Francis (IN) at 12^th, with Siena Heights coming in at 16^th. The Cardinals will face all four of those MSFA opponents this year with three of the games taking place at home. Concordia will host St. Xavier on September 26^th, travel to Siena Heights on October 3^rd, and then host Marian on October 10^th and St. Francis (IN) on October 17^th.

On top of the team recognition, Donovan Corlew was named to the Street and Smith's Preseason All-America Team on Offensive Line for a second season in a row. Corlew was named a NAIA All-American Honorable Mention selection following his Sophomore and Junior campaigns. The three year starter was also honored as 1^st Team All-MSFA in 2018 and 2019, as well as 2^nd Team All-MSFA in 2017.
