Men's Track and Field competes at the NCCAA Championships

The Men's track and field team traveled to Cedarville, Ohio for the NCCAA Indoor National Championships on Friday, February 11, and Saturday, February 12. The team earned 3 points and finished in 18th place.

Noah Starkey led the way by earning a personal record and 2 points for the team in the 200-meter dash. Starkey finished in seventh place in a time of 22.93. Starkey also competed in the 400-meter dash and finished in 53.29.

The other point was picked up by the 4 x 800-meter relay, which finished in 8th place. The team was comprised of Avery Sanchez, Adam Fisch, Luke Bentz, and Theodore Eising.

The only field event contestant for the men was Zach Belinsky in both shot put and weight throw. Belinsky earned a 15th-place finish in the weight throw 12.76 meters. In the shot put, Belinsky earned a 13th-place finish with a distance of 11.90 meters.

The team also had three other relay teams compete. The meet started off with the Distance Medley Relay of Starkey, Bentz, Sanchez, and Eising on Friday night, and finished in 10th place. The 4 x 200-meter relay team of Kash Warren, Ethan Dodson, Moe Kado, and Zak Schroeder capped Friday night off with a ninth-place finish. The weekend ended with the 4 x 400 relay of Warren, Dodson, Schroeder, and Elijah Boye finishing in 12th place.

The team will return with a full team effort on Friday, February 17, and Saturday, February 18 at Indiana Tech for the WHAC Championships.
