Women's Basketball's Tripp and Hirt honored in WHAC season awards

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference released their yearly women's basketball awards and Concordia's Alize Tripp and Julia Hirt were both honored by the conference by being placed on All-Conference teams.

 

 

Tripp, a sophomore from Michigan Center, Michigan, was named to the First-Team All-Conference by WHAC Head Coaches after leading the team with 13.4 points per game and 3 assists per game. Tripp also brought down 4.6 rebounds per game. In the WHAC, she was 8th in PPG, 20th RPG, and 8th APG. Tripp was named to the WHAC All-Freshman team last season. 

 

 

Hirt, a freshman from Heartland, Wisconsin, was named to the All-Freshman team this season after averaging 6.6 points per game, 3.4 rebounds per game, and 1.2 assists per game. Hirt was third in the WHAC in scoring for freshmen.  

 

Averi Bebble was also recognized as the team's WHAC Champion of Character. The senior was honored for her commitment to the five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.

 

Also, on Wednesday WHAC All-Academic teams were named which involves being a junior in Academic standing and having a cumulative GPA of 3.25. Four Cardinals were named to the team including Stephanie Abraham, Averi Bebble, Samantha Dorn, and Taylor Leatherman.
