(Defiance, OH) - Concordia women's track and field opened in 2022 with a new school record at the Dick Small Invite, hosted by Defiance College. 

Freshman Lena Korte (Clinton, MI) threw a new personal best of 11.81m in the women's shot put, beating her previous school record of 11.51m. The throw gained her a second-place finish. Korte also competed in the women's weight throw, tossing 10.56m for a fifth-place finish.

Also competing for the Cardinals was Junior Sierra Stechebar (Rockford, MI). Stechebar competed in the women's high jump, jumping 1.48m for a second-place finish.
