Milheim given CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-America Second Team Honors

(Ann Arbor, MI) The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-America NAIA Baseball teams and Blaine Milheim was selected as member of the second team for the NAIA. Blaine was voted in by Sports Information Directors from across the nation for his excellence on and off of the field.

On the field Milheim put together an impressive four years as a starter for the Cardinals, as he is in the top two for 11 different career stats in the program record books. With a career slash line of .374/.468/.503 Blaine was a key part to the recent success of Concordia on the diamond. During his Junior and Senior campaigns Milheim was named first team all-conference as well.

With a 3.35 cumulative GPA, Milheim has been named to the WHAC all-academic team for the last two years. Blaine recently graduated from Concordia's Haab School of Business, where he has been on the Dean's List during his tenure as a Cardinal.

Milheim is the second Cardinal to be recognized on the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team this year. Current Cardinals Amaan Payne, Jay Koski, Timothy Koehler, and Joel Werner, received all-district honors alongside Milheim, with Koehler being the other Cardinal named to the All-America team.

The 2019 Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-America Baseball teams have been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
