Billy Blair featured by NCCAA in student-athlete spotlight series

The National Christian College Association recently announced their first series of #KingChasing. Billy Blair (JR/St. Charles, MI) from the baseball team was featured in the first series as he was able to share encouragement and inspiration during this time.

The NCCAA's goal for the #KingChasing series was to highlight student-athletes from each spring sport (Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, M/W Track, M/W Tennis) recognized by the NCCAA. Student-athletes were given three questions to answer that focus on what they are learning during this time, how they are growing in their faith and trust in the Lord, and advice they have for other student athletes.

Blair is a junior for the Cardinals baseball team and is a marketing major within the Haab School of Business. Blair is a small group leader with Athletes in Action hosting small group bible studies weekly. Leading the Cardinals to an NCCAA National Championship last season, Blair was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player. Through 18 games during the 2020 season, Blair was 4-0 as a starter while recording a team high 25 strikeouts. Blair's ERA was 1.50 while also limiting opposing hitters batting average to a 1.48.

The NCCAA will continue to release the #KingChasing series throughout the remaining weeks of the semester with the opportunity for more Concordia spring sport student-athletes to be featured. For more information regarding the NCCAA's student spotlight series click here.
