(Ann Arbor, MI) - The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) has announced their weekly Player of the Week honors and a pair of Cardinals earned honors as the team went 6-0. Tyler Wressel, Offensive Player of the Week, and Ethan Pollard, Pitcher of the Week were the two Cardinals honored.
Wressel, a senior from Paw Paw, Michigan, Wressel led the team in extra base hits throughout the week while driving in 11 runs on the week. Wressel hit .500 on the week while having an on-base percentage of 0.565. Wressel tallied four doubles, two triples and one home run on the week.
Pollard, a senior from Brampton, Canada, pitched a complete game shutout against Michigan-Dearborn on Sunday. Pollard struck out nine batters in the outing, allowing five hits and a WHIP of only 0.71.
These two join Jake Kuhlman as Cardinal who have earned NCCAA Player of the Week honors in their career.
