(Ann Arbor, MI) - The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) have announced their weekly Player's of the Week and Concordia Cardinals Baseball player, Blake Weaver, earned the honor this week as the Cardinals continued their hot streak of play, going 6-0.
Weaver, a senior from Brighton, Michigan, appeared in three of Concordia University Ann Arbor's six games this week, and recorded three multi-inning saves. Weaver totaled 5.1 innings pitched, with two of his appearances being two inning saves. He allowed just four hits and struck out six batters with a WHIP under one on the week.
Weaver joins the other Cardinals players that have earned honors which are Tyler Wressel, Ethan Pollard and Jake Kuhlman from the NCCAA and Gus Simon from the WHAC.
The Cardinals will be back in action this week against Grace Christian, Cleary, and Defiance all at home.
