(Ann Arbor, MI) The Mid-States Football Association Mid-East (MSFA) announced their weekly player of the week recipients on Monday afternoon and Freshman Luis Gomez was the winner for his efforts in the previous game against Madonna.
Gomez was perfect from the field on Saturday going 10-10. He was able to convert all seven PATs while also going three for three on-field goals. On his third field goal of the game, he posted a career-best 38-yard field goal. Gomez tallied 16 points throughout the game.
Gomez joins Gavin Brooks, Andrew Foerster, Hunter Maynard, and Gabe Whitmore as the Cardinals to receive MSFA recognition this season. Gomez won player of the week twice last season.
The Cardinals will take the field one more time in the regular season as they will travel to Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, IN this upcoming Saturday, November 13, beginning with a 1 pm kickoff.
