(Ann Arbor, MI) – Concordia football is preparing this week to travel to Roosevelt for another MSFA crossover match. The #7 Cardinals evened their record last week after downing Saint Ambrose 41-24 in their home opener. Roosevelt enters the contest 1-0 and receiving votes after a 55-14 win over Mayville State. CUAA will look to move to a winning record as the team enters a 4-game road trip.

NAIA Coaches Poll
Concordia dropped one spot to #7 in the latest edition of the NAIA Coaches Poll. Marian remained at #5, Indiana Wesleyan moved up a spot to #13, and Saint Francis (IN) entered the poll at #20. Siena Heights along with MSFA Midwest members Saint Xavier and Roosevelt were receiving votes.
Player of the Week Honors
Seeger DeGayner was named Special Teams Player of the Week at the MSFA and Offensive Player of the Week at the NCCAA level. The junior wide receiver racked up 253 kick return yards including a school-record 100-yard return touchdown. DeGayner also set another school record with 317 all-purpose yards in the win.
