Women's Bowling takes home a second place finish at WHAC Jamboree #3

(Allen Park, MI) - The Women's Bowling team headed to Allen Park to compete at the third WHAC Jamboree of the season as they competed at the Thunderbowl Lanes. The Cardinals would end the tournament in second place, falling just behind Indiana Tech by just 26 pins. 

 

CARDINALS RESULTS

The top individual finisher for the Cardinals was Gabriella VanHorn as she would wind up in fourth place after finishing with 789 pins and 197.3 pin average. Alyvia Hock would also take home a top-10 finish in 7th place with 783 pins knocked down. Emille Hughes would wind up in 11th place after knocking down 766 pins. Shannon Lewan Would bowl the final full four games with a score of 704 pins.

 

Bowling in three games for the team was Brook Binder as he averaged 171.3 pins and hitting a total of 514 pins. The final game of the individual series was Isabell Cooley with a 144. 

 

JV CARDINAL RESULTS

The women's JV team would also finish in second place with 5972 total pins. Six Cardinals would bowl apart of the JV team, with Arielle Oakley leading the way 748 pins. Kara Ward would be the next finisher with 684 total pins. Emily Morris would hit a total of 659 pins over the four games. The last Cardinal to bowl in three games was Ashley Kreger with a score of 598 pins. 

 

Bowling in three games was Bailey Tomlin as she averaged a 167.3, while knocking down 502 pins. The final game was bowled by Summer Cowger with a 179 score. 

 

ENTERING THE RECORD BOOKS

The team would have a 4-game series average of 925 which would be the fifth-highest team score in program history. 

 

JAMBOREE TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL WINNER

The team championship would go to Indiana Tech after hitting 6495 pins. Caroline Holowenko from Lawrence Tech would be the individual winner with a score of 821. 

 

UP NEXT

The next event for the Cardinals will be on the 18th and 19th of December as they travel to Las Vegas, Nevada to compete at the Glenn Carson Invitational.
