Women's Bowling finishes in 18th place at the Collegiate Shootout

(Las Vegas, NV) - The Women's Bowling team stayed out in Las Vegas for their second straight tournament as they competed at the Collegiate Shootout. The team would improve from 19th to 18th place following the first day. The tournament consisted of 6 individual games followed by baker games on day 2. 

 

CARDINALS RESULTS

Gabrielle VanHorn would be the top finisher for the Cardinals as she would total 1,125 pins while taking home an average of 187.5 pins and a 35th place finish. The second finisher would be Alyvia Hock with a total of 1,029 pins. Emilee Hughes totaled 992 pins throughout the 6 games for third on the team. 

 

Three bowlers on the team would each bowl four games as Shannon Geiger, Amanda Fisher and Isabell Cooley as they would bowl a 718 (179.5), 656 (164) and a 594 (148.5) respectively. 

 

TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL WINNER

Wichita State University would take home the team championship following the 2-day event with a total of 9,293 pins. 

 

The individual champion would come from Baker University as Caitlin Lucas would end in first as she totaled 1303 pins over the 6-games.

The Cardinals are off until January 14th where they will compete at the Kegal Collegiate Classic at the Stardust Bowl in Addison, Illinois.
