Women's Bowling competes at the Hoosier Classic

(Indianapolis, IN) - The Women's Bowling team headed south to Indiana this last weekend to compete at the Hoosier Classic over the weekend. The team would take home a 20th-place finish after hitting 8417 total pins throughout the individual and baker games. 

 


CARDINALS RESULTS

Taking home a 65th-place finish was Gabriella VanHorn after hitting a total of 1185 pins over the six individual games. Two other Cardinals hit over 1,100 pins as Kyla Peterson and Alyvia Hock totaled 1155 and 1124 pins respectively. The final Cardinal to go the full 6 games was Emilee Hughes with a 1083 score. 

 

Two bowlers each bowled three games with Amanda Fisher and Isabell Cooley hitting a total of 685 and 508 pins overall. Fisher averaged 228.3 and Cooley averaged 169.3 pins. 

 


TEAM WINNER

The team champion was Wichita State with a total of 9318 pins, which was nearly 500 pins better than second-place Webber International. 

 

Bailey Delrose from the University of St. Francis (IL) would grab the individual championship while knocking down a total of 1426 total pins. 

 


UP NEXT

The Bowling team will head to Indiana Tech for the second straight weekend to compete at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Championships in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The championship will be on Saturday, February 25th.
