Women's Tennis bows out of WHAC Tournament to conclude their season

(Maumee, OH) Women's Tennis took on the second seeded Warriors from Indiana Tech Friday morning the WHAC Tournament. The Cardinals fell short against Tech, going down 0-4 in the match.

 

Indiana Tech won the doubles matches, sweeping the Cardinals to earn the first point.

 

In singles, Hollie Johnson and Payton Woodruff were swept in the #2 and #4 matches while Jadyn Hackmann took a game before ultimately falling, giving the Warriors their fourth point to win and advance. Elle Fritcha took a pair of games in the #1 match, before it was halted for time. Melanie Foucha and Jorja Vartoogian did not start their #5 and #6 Singles matches due to time as well.

 

CHAMPION OF CHARACTER

Elle Fritcha was recognized as the team's WHAC Champion of Character. The junior was honored for her commitment to the five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.

 

ALL-ACADEMIC

The WHAC announced their All-Academic teams, which involve being a junior or above in academic standing and having a cumulative GPA of 3.25. Anna Leeper, Elle Fritcha, and Kassidy Scheben were named to the All-Academic team for Concordia.
