Cheer takes home their fifth straight CIT Championship

(Mequon, WI) - The Concordia Cardinals Competitive Cheer team competed at the Concordia Invitational Tournament on Saturday. The Cardinals would bring home their fifth-straight CIT Championship.

The Cardinals took home the victory after scoring 67.30 for the meet. CUAA was followed by Nebraska (60.52), Chicago (56.20), and Wisconsin (48.83).

Jesus (Paulo) Pulido, a junior from Fredericksburg, VA, had this to say about the competition "Through the adversities, we came into Wisconsin with hardiness and succeeded in a 5th CIT win! Our stunts were held high and our pyramids perverse! The crowd was filled with a bunch of Cardinal love and only pushed us more to take home the trophy!"

The Cardinals will next head to Indiana Wesleyan for their two-day meet, which begins on Friday, February 9.
