Four Cardinals named to NAIA All-American teams

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2024 Competitive Cheer All-America teams on Monday and four Concordia Cardinals have been named NAIA All-Americans.

Being named to the first team was Zion Moorman, with Eunique Robinson, named to the second team, and Zoe Genette and Celina Hinojosa each being named to the third team.

Shanitra Cheff, Head Assistant had this to say about the four athletes, "Zion, Eunique, Zoe, and Celina well represent the strength of our WHAC conference and they now stand among the strongest NAIA athletes in the Nation with this honor. We are proud of their determination to build a lasting legacy of excellence."

To achieve NAIA All-American status, student-athletes participated in tryouts which the judges officiated at the Championship. Officials determined the All-American scores by taking into account the stunts, jumps, and tumbling of the athletes.

Last week the Cardinals finished the National Championships last weekend in fourth place.

Moorman makes his second appearance as an NAIA All-American making the second team last year. Celina Hinojsa was an NAIA Honorable Mention last season.

Appearing for their first time on the All-American honors were Eunique Robinson and Zoe Genette.
