(Chicago, IL) The second longest running collegiate basketball tournament in the nation will head to Chicago, IL this weekend as Concordia University Chicago hosts the 69th Annual Concordia Invitational Tournament (CIT). The Geiseman Gymnasium will be host to eight basketball games and a cheer and dance competition over a two day span. The CUAA men's basketball team will be looking to bring the traveling trophy home for their fifth CIT title in the tournament's long history.

Scouting the Cardinals
Concordia-Ann Arbor comes into this year's CIT looking for their fifth title. After a strong start to the season the Cardinals hit a rough patch, dropping six straight before bouncing back and winning three of their last nine. The tandem of Jerald Booker and Greg Alexander (SR/Middle River, MD) lead the Cardinals in most categories and compliment the post play of Paul Zysk and Jordan Winowiecki (SO/Fraser, MI), the outside shooting of Thomas Hronis (JR/North Ridgeville, OH), and guard play of Emmanuel Dominguez (SR/Groveland, FL) and Tyler Black (JR/Grand Rapids, MI).

Scouting the Falcons
In a season of streaks, Concordia-Wisconsin began the season with three losses and then bounced back to win five of their next six. The Falcons proceeded to drop two straight games, and then win four of their five most recent games in the up and down season. Jordan Johnson has led the Falcons for the past several years, now averaging 16.3 points per game with three others averaging over double digits in Brandon Keller (13.1), Joey Zietlow (12.6), and Jared Jurss (11.1).

After winning seven of their first eight games of the season, the Bulldogs fell in four consecutive contests before securing wins in their last seven of eight games.. Three Bulldogs are averaging above 12 points per game in Brevin Sloup (15.3), Carter Kent (14.7), and Tanner Shuck (12.5).
