Booker named second team all-conference by WHAC

(Ann Arbor, MI) The Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference announced their 2019-20 men's basketball awards Wednesday afternoon and Jerald Booker led the Cardinals' selections. WHAC coaches voted Booker second team all-conference for his 2019-20 performance.

This is the first time the senior standout has been awarded by the WHAC. Booker set many career highs during his senior campaign highlighted by a 29 point effort against Defiance College in October. The guard led the Cardinals in scoring, steals, and minutes with averages of 13.7, 1.1, and 29.2 respectively. Booker finished his career with 1,431 points, scoring a career best 412 of those in this past season.

Booker was also named to the WHAC All-Academic Team for his work in the classroom and maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.25 while pursuing his Master's degree.

Paul Zysk was recognized as the team's WHAC Champion of Character. The senior was honored for his commitment to the five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
