(Livonia, MI) – Concordia men's basketball traveled to Madonna on Wednesday night for a WHAC clash.  The Cardinals kept battling but the Crusaders pulled away for an 88-49 win. 

Jayden Priddy led the Cardinals with 12 points.  Matt Lockhart was second with 10 points and tied Zac Clark for a team-high 6 rebounds. 

 

Matt Lockhart hit a deep 3-pointer for the first Cardinal basket.  Lockhart and Kip French drove for layups early in the half.  Devyn Jones had a free throw and Jayden Priddy drove for two baskets, but Madonna led 28-12 at the midway point. 

Matt Lockhart drained a triple and scored a fast break basket.  Jayden Priddy and Zac Clark drained pairs of free throws down the stretch.  Madonna continued to convert and CUAA trailed 46-24 at halftime. 

 

Kip French had a 3-pointer for the team's first basket in the second half.  Zac Clark had two free throws and Devyn Jones nailed a triple.  Nate Brighton chipped in two free throws and a 3-pointer and Kip French drove for a layup.  Jayden Priddy used a eurostep to drive for a basket and CUAA trailed 65-42 at the midway point. 

Priddy finished an "and-1" and Matt Kohler scored inside.  Henry Knapp added a pair of free throws in the final minutes as the game wound down. 

 

Concordia will return home to host rival Siena Heights this Saturday at 3pm.
