Men's bowling placed three bowlers in the top 10 to take 2nd overall

(Sterling Heights, Mich.) – The men's bowling team continued their competitive season on Saturday at WHAC Jamboree #2 on Friday afternoon. The Cardinals bowled in pod A included which took place at 5 Star Lanes in Sterling Heights. The scores from pod B were combined with A to have one scoring system. The Cardinals showed great improvement from their first outing last week recording a 2nd place finish overall with a pin total of 5133.

 

The jamboree featured three games and two baker sets. The Cardinals totaled 964, 1083, and 1156 in their three games respectively and posted scores of 984 and 946 in the baker sets. Kyle Lewis led the Cardinals with a third place finish overall. Lewis bowled all three games over 200 with his last game reaching a game high of 289. Brendan Gossman supported Lewis efforts with fifth place finish overall. Gossman was steady in all three individual games averaging 238. Korey Reichard was the third Cardinal to place in the top 10 with a 7th place finish overall. Reichard recorded a three game total of 663 with his best game being a 236.

 

Glenn Rose and Patrick Good Jr. supported the Cardinals scoring efforts with totals of 557 and 542. Rose bowled a 206 in his third game with Good just missing 200 (191) in the third game.

  

Lawrence Tech took first place as a team with a pin total of 5569. Michael Weber from Lawrence Tech took home the individual honors with a 775 total.

 

The next WHAC Jamboree will take place on Feb 6th as Concordia will travel to Lansing for WHAC Jamboree #3. Cleary will serve as the host with pod A bowling at Royal Scot Lanes.
