Men's bowling takes third place at WHAC Bowling Jamboree #3

(Lansing, Mich.) – The men's bowling team continued their competitive season on Saturday at WHAC Jamboree #3. The Cardinals bowled in pod A which took place at Royal Scot Lanes in Lansing. The scores from pod B were combined with A to have one scoring system. After a second place finish last week, the Cardinals continued to show that they belong among the conference leaders with a 3rd place finish overall.

 The jamboree featured three games and two baker sets. The Cardinals totaled 1018, 990, and 1064 in their three games respectively and posted scores of 1023 and 1036 in the baker sets. David Smalls had his best outing as a Cardinal with a sixth place finish overall. Smalls  bowled all three games over 200 with his first game reaching a daily high of 226. Smalls totaled 637 through three games. Brenden Gossman (8th) and Korey Reichard (9th) also finished in the top 10 overall. Gossman totaled 632 with a high score of 255 in the second game. Reichard was steady throughout the day bowling a 200 in every game. His first game was the highest with a 215.

Kyle Lewis rounded out the Cardinals scoring with a 15th place finish overall. Lewis totaled 608 through three games with a daily high of 234 in his final game.

 Indiana Tech took home the team honors with a pin total of 5307. Jacob Balser of Indiana Tech place first overall with a total of 729.

 The next WHAC Jamboree will take place on Feb 13th as Concordia will travel to Grandville for WHAC Jamboree #3. Cornerstone will serve as the host with pod A bowling at Fairlanes.
