Men's Golf rounds out their Fall 2023 Season at the Harbor Shores Intercollegiate

(Benton Harbor, MI) - The Men's Concordia Cardinals Golf team rounded out their fall 2023 season at the Harbor Shores Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday earlier this week. The Cardinals would finish the two-round tournament in seventh place. 

 

The Cardinals as a team would see their second-round score of 324 enter the Cardinal's record book at number 10, while the full two-round score of 652 is now the fifth lowest in program history. 

 

INDIVIDUAL RESULTS

Five Cardinals would compete for the team with Neil Heinlein leading the bunch with a two-round score of 152 and a low of 74. Andrew Sweitzer was not far behind Heinlein with a score of 158, with a low of 77. Zakary Schroeder was next on the team with a total score of 169. The final two golfers were Gibson Wilke and Cam Barrett with scores of 175 and 177 respectively. 

 

TOURNAMENT RECAP

Grace College finished atop the team leaderboard with a score of 584, which narrowly beat out second-place by seven strokes. 

 

The individual champion was Jonah Kumfer from Bethel University with a two-round score of 138.

 

NEXT UP

The Cardinals have finished up their fall season and will look to prepare for the spring 2024 season.
