Men's Lacrosse downed in top-10 clash with Aquinas

(Ann Arbor, MI) - CUAA men's lacrosse hosted #8 Aquinas on Thursday afternoon for a key WHAC game The contest was chippy and featured tied scores after the first three quarters, but the Saints pulled away in the fourth for an 11-7 win. 

 

Joseph Loria played a full game in net with 16 saves Both teams traded goals with Cooper Regimbal adding a pair with assists from Ross Preston and Ryan Davis The game was tied 2-2 after the first quarter. 

 

Cooper Regimbal finished his hat trick early in the second quarter An unassisted marker by Travis Wright gave the Cardinals a 4-3 lead However, Aquinas tied the game 4-4 heading into halftime. 

 

Aquinas scored two goals to open the third quarter The Cardinals battled back again with goals from Ryan Davis and Ross Preston with just 33 seconds apart The match was tied 6-6 after the third quarter. 

 

Aquinas took the lead with four unanswered goals to start the fourth quarter Ross Preston ended their run with his second marker of the game, but Aquinas held on for an 11-7 win. 

 

CUAA will remain at home this Saturday April 5thto host rival Siena Heights (RV) at 1pm.
