Joe Loria wins second straight WHAC Defensive Player of the Week honors

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced their weekly Player of the Week honors and for the second straight week Concordia Cardinals Men's Lacrosse goalie, Joseph Loria, was honored.

Loria, a graduate student from Fenton, Michigan, started and played all 60 minutes in the Cardinals upset win over #4 Indiana Tech, which they won 15-12, and had a record-breaking performance in between the pipes. Loria broke a WHAC and Concordia Men's Lacrosse record with 33 saves and had a 73.3% save percentage.

This is the fourth career Player of the Week honor of Loria's career, with the previous two coming in 2020 and 2023. Loria is the second Cardinal to earn a Player of the Week honor this season as Travis Wright earned one back in February.

Loria and the Cardinals will be back in action twice this week with home games against #8 Aquinas on Wednesday and #RV Siena Heights on Saturday.
