Men's Soccer drops match to Cornerstone, 2-0

(Ann Arbor, MI) - Concordia men's soccer hosted Cornerstone for a Saturday afternoon WHAC game.  The Cardinals fought hard but fell by a score of 2-0.

 

Kyri Wixom played a complete game in net with four saves.  Cornerstone scored first just 11 seconds into the game.  The Cardinals countered with shots on goal from Carter Kerbawy and Jan Lloveras Freix.  Shots were even 3-3 between the teams but CUAA trailed 1-0 at halftime.

 

Kyri Wixom made three more saves in the second half as the Cardinals looked to tie the game.  However, Cornerstone extended their lead with a goal in the 69th minute.  Despite 2 corner kick opportunities, CUAA fell by a final score of 2-0.

 

Concordia will travel to University of Michigan Dearborn this Wednesday, September 18th, at 7pm.
