Men's Soccer drops road contest at #16 Indiana Tech

(Fort Wayne, IN) - Concordia men's soccer traveled to #16 Indiana Tech on Saturday afternoon in WHAC play.  The Cardinals kept the contest close in the first half, but the Warriors pulled away for a 4-0 win. 

 

Dario Cela played the first half of the game in goal recording six saves.  Cela was tested early with several saves as the Cardinal defense weathered the Warriors' attack.  Carter Kerbawy sent a shot just left of the net and Bryce Schaner had the team's first shot on goal.  Indiana Tech broke the shutout with a goal in the 44th minute and led 1-0 at halftime. 

 

Kyri Wixom played the second half of the game in goal making four saves.  The Cardinals looked to get their offense going with John Clark sending a header just wide of the goal.  Lucas Anderson fired a shot on net as well, but Indiana Tech scored again to go up 2-0.  Mateo Nabben had a header on goal for the Cardinals, but Indiana Tech was able to pull away for a 4-0 win. 

 

Concordia will return home this Wednesday, October 23rd, when they host Aquinas at 2pm.
