NAIA CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP: Lena Korte places 4th in Shot Put at NAIA Championships

(Marion, IN) - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Track and Field Championships completed Day 2 as Concordia Cardinals Women's Track and Field athlete Lena Korte finished in fourth-place as she competed in the Shot Put event for the second straight year.

 

 

Korte, a junior from Clinton, Michigan, advanced to the final round after her first three tosses. Korte's best throw of the day was her second in which she threw 14.64 meters to place her in fourth. 

 

Korte ends her season as an NAIA All-American which is the Track and Field's fourth in the Outdoor season with Stephanie Johnston taking home the other three honors. 


 

The winner of the event was Princess Kara from Indiana Wesleyan who won the event by 0.08 meters with a throw of 15.10 meters on her first throw.
