(Ann Arbor, MI) - The College Sport Communicators (CSC) released their 2024 Academic All-District winners on Tuesday afternoon. Five Concordia Cardinals were honored as they were named to the Women's Cross Country & Track and Field All-District Team.
The five Cardinals who were named to the team were Alison Doerr, Amanda Fogo, Julia Hirt, Morgan Jenkins, and Lena Korte,
Doerr is a sophomore from Grand Haven, Michigan, and has a cumulative GPA of 3.66 while studying Nursing.
A sophomore from Fowlerville, Michigan, Fogo is an Elementary Education major and has accumulated a GPA of 3.57.
Hirt, a junior from Hartland, Wisconsin, is an Elementary Special Education major and has a cumulative GPA of 3.98.
Jenkins, a sophomore from Cleveland, Ohio, is in the Elementary Education program and has a cumulative GPA of 3.63.
Korte, a junior from Clinton, Michigan has a cumulative GPA of 3.51 and is currently in the Education program.
The 2024 Academic All-District Women's Cross Country & Track and Field Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
College Sport Communicators is a 3,200+ member national association for strategic, creative, and digital communicators across intercollegiate athletics in the United States and Canada. The organization was previously known as College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and was changed to its new name in August of 2022.
Eligible nominees will be based on TFRRS performance list rankings at the time of nomination. Top 25 in a conference in single event (XC, indoor or outdoor) - must be an individual performance, not a relay performance for indoor or outdoor track
The five Cardinals will now be placed on the ballot for CSC All-America consideration with those teams being released on July 9, 2024.
