Lena Korte earns fourth WHAC and NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week

(Ann Arbor, MI) – The Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced their player of the week honors Monday afternoon and Women's Track and Field athlete Lena Korte took home this week's honors for field events.

Korte, a junior from Clinton, Michigan, once again took home the top spot in the Shot Put event after a throw of 13.94 meters. That throw would qualify as an "A" standard in the NAIA. Korte also competed in the Weight Throw as she would wind up with a second-place finish after a toss of 15.30 meters. Both throws once again hit NCCAA qualifications.

This is the fourth time Korte has won WHAC and NCCAA honors this season.

Korte and the Cardinals track & field teams will be back in action at the NCCAA Championships at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio on February 9 and 10.
